Our history
It is during her journey as a dancer that Cindy discovers Yoga and Pilates. She decides to train for her own well-being before the desire to teach arises so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of movement in mindfulness. This is how Mat&More was born in Metropolitan France. After a few months, Cindy flies to French Polynesia and creates Mat&More - Moorea in 2018.
This entity, now emblematic of well-being in Mo'orea, is a project that has been built step by step, over the meetings, explored places and accompanied students.
From an individual adventure to a collective project, Mat&More-Mo'orea has evolved into a lively community, driven by sharing, transmission and the desire to offer ever richer and more aligned experiences.
Our vision
Far from the smooth and "insta" image, in Mat&More's vision, yoga is above all a tool for exploration and well-being, far from performance or aesthetic injunctions.
We believe in a practice that respects the bodies, rhythms and singularities of each person so that yoga remains accessible regardless of age, gender or physical condition.
Conscious movement, breathing and inner listening are at the heart of our teaching: a physical approach to yoga that gradually leads each practitioner to discover their "inner world", the true "self", ātman.
Each session is designed to be inclusive, adaptable and accessible, so that everyone can practice with confidence, regardless of their experience.

The team
Mat&More - Mo'orea brings together passionate and committed teachers for your well-being.
With diverse but complementary paths, each one will guide you in a benevolent practice while making you discover its unique approach to yoga.

Cindy
Founder & Teacher
Yoga & Yoga'sculpt
Cindy founded Mat&More Mo'orea in 2018.
With a strong experience as a dancer and several years of teaching, she aims to democratize the movement, free bodies from injunctions and offer everyone a caring space to move, breathe and reconnect with oneself through practices accessible to all.

Teacher
Yoga & Mobility
Guided by a deep passion for movement in all its forms, Mina trained in yoga in 2019 before turning a few years later to Natural Mobility that she incorporates today into her practice.
With Mina, we move, we explore, and above all... we have fun rediscovering movement through our body!

Trina
Teacher
Yoga
Trina first worked in many companies around the globe before focusing on her well-being and discovering the practice of yoga.
In her teaching, she likes to challenge the students to leave the mind aside and fully live the physical experience while enjoying a fun moment.

The most beautiful studio: Mo'orea
Why limit oneself to four walls when nature offers the most beautiful spaces for practicing yoga?
In Mo'orea, each session becomes a real immersion in the heart of a natural paradise, where movement blends with the elements.
As soon as weather permits it, several weekly classes take place in the open air, inviting to fully reconnect with the beauty and singular energy of the island.
Practice a Vinyasa in front of the ocean, feel the warm sand under your feet or let yourself be enveloped by the calm of the mountain... so many experiences that transform the practice into a deeply inspiring moment.
Outdoor yoga is much more than just a change of scenery: it’s a sensory and revitalizing experience. Breathing in the sea air, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin, listening to the birds singing or the gentle lapping of the waves promote increased presence, a natural anchoring and a deeper connection to yourself.
Whether on a sandy beach, in a scenery offering breathtaking views like the Bounty Plateau, or in the heart of a lush tropical garden, Mo'orea becomes your open-air yoga studio.
Each session is an invitation to explore, feel and marvel.
Come live the magic of yoga in nature and let yourself be carried away by the unique energy of Mo'orea.

Why "Mat & More"?
The "mat" is simply for the yoga mat 🤷🏻♀️
But "& more", it’s much more than a detail...
This first refers to all the accessories that one encounters in the yoga practice: blocks, straps, cushions... but also balloons, elastics and other props used in Yoga Sculpt.
And then, "& more" is also a nod to the plural nature of Cindy, who wears (with enthusiasm!) several hats: yoga teacher, dancer, volunteer involved in different associations, marine biologist... and today mom 💛
"Mat & more" especially reminds us of one essential thing:
yoga is not limited to what happens on the mat.
Practice is invited into everyday life, at every moment.
Attention, observation and awareness that one cultivates on their mat become valuable tools for everyday life.
They help us to step back from what we are going through, to welcome experiences with more accuracy, and to move forward with greater serenity.
Because deep down, yoga... it’s on the mat.
And above all, far beyond it

Yoga at the service of our island
Yoga is much more than just a physical practice: it is a true philosophy of life that guides us towards harmony in ourselves and with our environment. If on the mat we work on mobility, stamina, and breath, Yoga also teaches us humility, kindness, or even non-violence, and invites us to apply these principles daily, in our way of life, to interact with others and take care of our planet. It is our sādhanā.
It is in this spirit that Cindy wishes to share her yoga practice, fully integrating it into local life. Settled in Mo'orea since 2018, she has been warmly welcomed by its inhabitants and, in return, wishes to put Yoga at the service of the local community.
Thus, regularly, it organizes free sessions or on free donation but also special events for the benefit of local associations and citizen initiatives, in order to support important causes for the island and its inhabitants. These events are an opportunity to meet new people, exchange and recharge together, in a spirit of solidarity and sharing.
