Mathilde now teaches Vinyasa yoga, with dragon dance inspirations intertwined with mobility exercises. The development of her sequences is always done with the desire to create something dynamic, creative and adapted to each person.

Based in New Zealand for 4 years, she gives classes in English and French, in studio and outdoor for adults, as well as parent/child workshops, conceived as moments of sharing, movement and connection.

Mathilde will be present on Mo'orea for a few months to allow Cindy and Trina to take some holidays. She will do most of the sessions at Cook’s Bay Studio and Manava ; the perfect opportunity to discover a new approach to yoga practice!

Dragon dance and Yoga

Inspired by Asian energy practices such as Qi Gong and modern forms of dynamic yoga, the "dragon dance" is part of a free and intuitive approach to movement.

Popularized in contemporary yoga through creative flows similar to Vinyasa Yoga, it draws on the idea of continuous fluidity, where each gesture is born from the previous one, like a natural undulation of the body. Symbol of power, flexibility and circulation of energy, the dragon here becomes a metaphor for living movement.

Integrated into the practice of yoga, this approach brings a fluid, creative and deeply energizing dimension. She invites us to free ourselves from frozen sequences in order to explore a more instinctive gesture, by synchronizing breathing and movement. Halfway between meditation in movement and bodily exploration, it stimulates the circulation of energy, strengthens mobility and develops the presence to oneself.

The practice then becomes a sensitive and immersive experience, where each sequence is transformed into a dance, offering at the same time vitality, anchoring and letting go.
